According to the Lebanese Ministry of Information, Fatah al-Islam prisoners being held a Lebanon’sRoumieh prison (see below) clashed with prison guards over a request to spend additional time with visitors.

Lebanese Prosecutor Seeks Fatah al-Islam Trial Death Penalty

Lebanese prosecutor and Military Investigative Magistrate Fadi Sawwan filed a legal request seeking the death penalty for nine (9) Fatah al-Islam terror defendants.

Sawwan made the request against the following suspects:

  • Mohammad Shuman (Lebanese)
  • Fadi Ghassan Ibrahim (Palestinian)

2 Dead in Clashes by Fatah al-Islam, Other Terrorist Groups in Lebanon

At least two people were killed in a fight between the Fatah al-Islam, Asbat al-Ansar, and Jund al-Sham terrorist groups in Lebanon’s Ein El-Hilweh a/k/a Ain al-Hilweh camp near Sidon in south Lebanon today.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Information,


a series of firefights with machine guns and rocket propelled grenades (RPGs) inside the U.N.-run camp involving the fundamentalist Fatah al-Islam, the al-Qaeda supporting Asbat al-Ansar, and Jund al-Sham resulted in the death of a woman and another person.
